Day 24 Bismarck to Napoleon

Intro

I had to say goodbye to Marian for a second time this morning after her flight debacle of yesterday. She left the same time I did this morning. She has successfully made it home now. I had a good day of riding great weather, great roads, and the typical surprises along the way. As I got close to my destination I was riding through an area with a lot of lakes. I was seeing these large white birds and I could tell they weren’t swans but couldn’t believe they were pelicans. I would’ve lost a rather substantial financial bet that they couldn’t be pelicans because I always thought that pelicans only lived at the shore but these were pelicans. I should call this the education of Dan tour because I keep learning things every day.
