Hi – I’m Dan

My name is Dan Miller and I am getting ready to ride across the country on the Northern Tier route published by Adventure Cycling. If you are new, like me, to bike touring you should check them out, they are a wealth of information. This trip is my first big tour and at the top of my bucket list.

I am doing the ride as a fundraiser for Rainbow Village. They are a transitional housing organization in Duluth Ga that offers Help. Hope. Housing. Healing. My wife and I have worked with them for over 25 years and have always appreciated their mission to solve the problem of homelessness (they have more than a 90% success rate with their clients) not just provide emergency shelter (which is also needed, but it’s not their mission). My trip is self funded, so all of the money donated is going to Rainbow Village to help with their mission. I would like to raise $30,000 for their 30th anniversary. So, for a trip of about 4000 miles that’s only $7.50/mile or 75 donors giving 10 cents/mile or give a fraction of penny for each of the approximately 1.4 million pedal rotations. You get the idea, so please consider supporting their mission. All donations regardless of size are appreciated and go to help a great organization serving a deep need.
