Day 6 Republic to Colville

I had a wonderful evening in the small town of Republic (population 1000) (it’s hard to wrap your head around a town with a population 1/3 the size of the high school I used to teach). My warmshowers hosts Patty and Rob spoiled me with a wonderful dinner including fresh veggies from their garden followed by swapping stories about our kids, weddings, and grandchildren. They sent me off with a great breakfast. The days ride was hot with the very difficult climb over Sherman Pass then on to Colville. My warmshowers host in Colville was nice enough to text me to remind me to pick up food in Colville as there was nothing close to their house.
